How this is calculated
  • Driver labor per day = pay per hour × hours per day
  • Fuel per day = miles ÷ mpg × fuel price
  • Vehicle wear per day = miles × other vehicle cost per mile
  • Cost per stop = (labor + fuel + vehicle) ÷ stops per day. Cost per mile = the same total ÷ miles per day.
  • Fleet cost per month = daily cost per driver × drivers × working days
  • Paper dispatch per year = minutes per day ÷ 60 × pay per hour × working days × 12. It's priced at the driver rate; if a higher-paid dispatcher does most of it, the real number is higher.

Excludes your overhead (office, software, insurance on the business) and any failed or repeat deliveries. These are estimates to help you price routes, not accounting advice.
